Founded in 2020, RDA - Refine Design Atelier is a design-focused firm known for its well-crafted modern and contemporary homes. The firm has a strong focus in both architecture and interior design, which they ought to create a design approach which has no boundaries between the two. RDA is leaded by the founder Albert Lau, who graduated in Bachelor of Architecture from the University Technology of Malaysia (UTM). He has over 15 years of experience in architecture and interior design field, with a demonstrated history of working with the completion of projects associated with renowned developers in town, covering wide spectrum of projects ranging from mixed development, housing, high rise office tower and commercial retail projects.
The hallmarks of RDA design work lies in it acknowledging a responsibility to the built environment, understanding both the physical and practicality potential of architecture. The firm’s works reflect simplicity in its use of basic compositional and geometric elements, specifically without any pretence or fixed style. Each design evolves around a synthesis of site and program, experimenting with a variety of architectural interpretations and ultimately builds within client’s ordinary budgets in extraordinary ways.

With heavy involvement from conceptual design, design development to building implementation with specialization in project coordination in both residential and commercial development, his believes in being attentive to the clients and constantly strive to develop a design parameter that place user at the heart of the design.
This is best exemplified in most of the residential projects that he has undertaken, in liaising and coordinating with consultants of other disciplines and contractors as well as lead the team from building plan submission up to CCC. his construction competencies and technical knowledge enable to blend well with his design flair that improve the design approaches and enriching in the project involved.
